SALON SAFETY

Please check this page for SaloNet updates on COVID - 19 safety protocols as things are continually changing. Thanks to science and the current vaccination roll-out things are improving.

As always, we cannot be more appreciative of your continued support over the past year as we’ve navigated this pandemic.

Many businesses are being given the green light to open in Alameda County, including hair salons and we are excited to be one of them!  Know that our utmost priority is the health and safety of our staff and clients.  In our mission to serve you in the highest manner, please know that the CDC/City of California Government has necessitated strict protocols we intend to uphold.

We ask that you continue to remain patient and kind as we begin reopening our doors to serve you.  Vaccinations do not mean that mask-wearing and other safety protocols are not longer in place.

Here’s what we ask of you:

Scheduling

  • We are beginning to take appointments by phone/ text only until further notice.

  • It is your responsibility to reschedule missed appointments due to Covid and won’t be automatically rebooked.  Please give us a call to choose a date/ time and we’ll be happy to reschedule your appointment.

  • We will have a limited amount of staff working at a time and will be staggering appointments, so all appointments will need to be made in advance.

  • Having reduced staff and increased restrictions, we ask that you are patient with us during this temporary way of operating.

  • Please communicate with us, as soon as possible, if a scheduling conflict arises.

Health Protocols

  • Prior to entering, TEXT your STYLIST, Please wait outside, we will be taking temperatures with a contactless thermometer.

  • All staff and clientele must wear an ear loop mask (not tied behind your head) while in the salon and throughout your appointment. One will be offered if you do not have one.

  • If for any reason you are not feeling well, please DO NOT come in.  Kindly give us a call to reschedule/cancel your appointment at no charge.

  • All staff will be required to wear gloves and masks.

  • Please no hugging, kissing, and handshakes (We missed you too!).

  • No beverages will be served and bringing in food/ beverages is not allowed for now.

  • We will be offering the first few hours of service to high-risk clients to minimize exposure.

Timeliness

  • We cannot stress enough the importance of arriving at your appointments on time.

  • Due to diminished capacity and strict sanitation guidelines, if you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will absolutely be forfeit and our no-show policy will be strictly enforced.

  • Please be considerate of your neighbors who have also been waiting months for their hair services.

Capacity

  • Our salon capacity will be limited to under 10 total occupants at a time. This includes staff and clientele.

  • We will only be able to take one client per stylist at a time.

  • Please come to your appointment alone and at your scheduled appointment time.

  • Hair stations will all be more than 6 feet apart.

Cleanliness

  • Our entire staff has completed the Barbicide Covid-19 Certification and will be adhering to all extra sanitation and disinfection standards.

  • We will allow 15 minutes in between appointments to fully sanitize hair stations.

  • We’ve installed a plexiglass sneeze guard barrier at our front desk.

  • Disposable face masks and hand sanitizer will be available to all guests.  (A minimal $2 Covid Impact Fee may be added to your bill).

  • All staff is required to wear gloves unless it interferes with the service you’re receiving. Otherwise, frequent hand washing is required.

Services

  • We’re prioritizing ‘maintenance’ services to help our clients feel like themselves again.

  • We will only do blow-dry services if they are integral to the service being performed.  This will allow us the availability to service the maximum number of clients each day and minimize blowing of particles..

We are so thankful for your continued patronage and can’t wait to serve you soon.  We know this seems like a lot, but trust that by adhering to these guidelines, we’ll be able to do what we do best- your hair!

Cheers to the New Normal as we begin to re-open.

Love,

The SaloNet Team
